OK, I hope I didn’t offend you with what may have been construed as Constantine-bashing. I just wanted to understand the love that so many people obviously have for him. I agree that those other performers you listed are also affected in their own ways, but most of them have a little extra something that I can’t put my finger on. ANYHOO – I also got close enough to be sweat on by Bono that summer, but alas, I stayed dry. He must have been using a better deodorant at his St. Louis show.

Oh yeah, and I saw Madonna in concert. She opened for Genesis. Funny huh? Funnier that I got totally drunk (I think I was 16) and was putting out cigarettes with my bare feet. (And no, I don’t smoke any more.)

Constantine is an amusing genius. His selection of “I Think I Love You” was an obvious attempt to show that he is not selling out – no no not him, the former rocker with the Avril-Lavigne-type “Don’t think you’re gonna make me sing nothin’ I don’t wanna sing” attitude – so, because he must pick something, he picks the *cheesiest* hit in history to sing and sings it with his own sexy gusto. He had me drooling… in a good way… not in a Bueller or “Mrs. Madden, Jeremy fell asleep and he drooled all over his desk and the English book and it’s about to drip on the FLOOR – dooooo something!” way.

I still favor Carrie. She’s my Heart sistah.
