Venting…

Fine. We are the house-poorest people EVER. In the whole known universe! Good lord, are we house poor. Which is why I am at this very moment hysterically crying– honest-to-goodness sobbing– as I watch the A/C tech put in my brand-spanking new $400 thermostat. OMG! That’s INSANE! Too much money! I can’t believe the damn thing broke as soon as we moved in! Damn Murphy and his stupid Law! Damn him to hell! Damndamndamndamndamn…

Wow, I feel a little better now…

Okay. Not really. I totally lied.

DAMN!

ETA: Scratch that. Make it $500! FIVE HUNDRED EFFING DOLLARS!
ooooooooh…

Oh dear, Cat. Let’s hope it doesn’t go any higher. I’ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

But…well, it’s digital, right? That’s cool. Granted, not $500 cool, but well…okay, I got nothin’.

I’ll just pat your hand while you rock back and forth, maybe?

oooooh, poor baby. That has to smart. *sheepishly* at least it wasn’t a thousand. I hope everything else is PERFECT!

Dang, sorry Cat. It’ll get better….you’re gonna have these things for awhile, then it’ll go smoothly. Really. I deal with pissed off, frustrated homeowners all day long at work (I help them with contractors they’ve hired). The house is just new to you. As long as its nothing MAJOR, you’ll be fine.

Thanks, y’all… I had a good cry and feel much better now. Sometimes those panic attacks can be good for something, eh?! And who needs groceries anyway, huh?! Eating is just silly.

I think I may have made the a/c tech a little uncomfortable though… Apparently people shouting “Good LORD!” and bursting into tears when he reads the bill to them makes him uncomfortable. Who knew?

I especially enjoyed his “Wow! You saved $42 today! That’s almost ten percent!” Charming.

10 percent my arse anyways, they just do that to make you think they’re great.

Sorry bout your thermostat, Cat. Must be one beautiful instrument for that moola.

    Hi,

An “old friend of your family” in Arizona!

Why didn’t your realtor tell you about a Home Warranty Plan? In Arizona, it’s a “boiler plate language” in the contract. If the seller doesn’t provide it, you can purchase it. Maybe it’s not too late to purchase it now…

Had a good time seeing the kids in Arizona during the 24th celebration. Hannah is a riot!

The a/c tech asked me that, too, and I have NO IDEA> Maybe we do? I guess I should look into that… If they would reimburse us? I could die happy. And buy donuts.

Got something to say?
