Was it good? (No! Don’t tell me!)

January 18, 2006 · Print This Article

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was not able… I did not… I could not… I didn’t get to…. aw, screw it.

I totally missed the season premiere of AMERICAN freaking IDOL!

I mean, I caught a quick glimpse of a super-DUPER tan, skanky, teenaged Paris Hilton Wannabe (she frightened me, y’all), and another scene with a frickin’ tall, Red Bull-jacked up crazy man with a mediocre voice (he TRULY frightened me) who Paula totally sent to Hollywood making me question all that is true and good in the world but I missed pretty much everything else!

I so do not want to talk about it. It’s too painful, guys. Too painful.

That being said… was it good?! Huh?! Well was it?! GAH! Wait! No! NOOOOO! Don’t tell me! Don’t tell me! I don’t want to know! The pain! My heart! OH! Hyper… ventilating! Need… oxygen…!

*deep breath*

Whatev. I’m over it. Really.

(But was it good?)

I had to laugh when I saw your previous post then read this one.

It was good. What do you expect! LOL

There are plenty more bad singers left. Don’t worry.

I’m so sorry you missed it! I watched it as it was being aired – but I also have it saved as a season pass on my Tivo just in case I’m also plagued by circumstances beyond my control. You so need to get Tivo!

I did post all of Simon’s best comments from last night on my blog if you want to check those out. He’s fantastic :D

I was totally floored that the crazy man was sent through… obviously just for comic relief I’m sure because he completely lacked in talent. I know I’d be pissed if he ended up in my group once we got to Hollywood though… that would suck!!

So does that mean you also missed the freakshow in the Pipi Longstocking get-up?? He was a treat… NOT!

Cat, Honestly I was disappointed. There were a lot of crappy singers, but not over-the-top hysterical as I’m used to.

It was, you know, bad. Isn’t that what the first show is all about? Bad singers peppered with the select few good singers? There will be more tonight, I just know it. The thing that I’m always surprised about is when the losers come out of there mad. “F@#% American Idol!, They don’t know what they’re talking about!” That makes me laugh!!!! Especially when they really sucked. You know what I’m talking about, dawg?

I heard that there was a couple of sisters from Spring Grove, IL on there… Spring Grove is only about 15 minutes away from me…

I’ll burn it to DVD for you. Send me you address and I will tape it tonight as I watch it because I had to go to the Kings game last night and I missed it too…but THANK GOD FOR TIVO!

Yeah, just send me your address and i’ll burn it. You can’t say you missed the first episode. Shaun will forever hold it against you!

Did you know on our first real date Shaun and I ended up in an empty bar and watched this skinny little red head sing his heart out! That was the first episode of the second season? right?
