Cat’s Kidcast: Labor Day at the Smithsonian National Zoo

*UPDATED* (for higher quality picture– feel free to download the most recent version)
The end of summer vacation is depressing enough in and of itself, am I right? Couple that with gloomy weather, two parents who simply cannot miss anymore work, and three children suffering from severe cases of End-of-Summer Letdown Syndrome– or ESLS, if you will– and you’ve got a weekend mini-break waiting to happen.
Thus, the DWM family embarked on a trip to the Smithsonian National Zoo on Labor Day… because the zoo is not only local and somewhat educational, it’s FREE. Didn’t cost us a dime! No money changed hands whatsoever! Totally free! Freeness.
And… well.. we’re cheap, yo?
The ensuing footage showcases my children in their very first DWM Catcast (or Kidcast, in this case) appearance. In this video my kiddos will try their darnedest to impart to all viewers the valuable knowledge they gained while visiting the zoo.
They are just givers that way.
(And NO, smarty pants, I do NOT always wear that shirt! I just like to have it on in podcasts! To show my Veronica Mars LUV! OKAY?! Gosh!)

Did YOU knooowwww that your kids are adorable and fabulous? Please box them up and send them to me, pronto!
(PS – please put holes in the box so that they can breathe)
(PPS – and maybe overnight ‘em so they don’t get too hungry.. or squished.)
Thanks!
Did you Knooow … that Alli sometimes speaks in an English accent? Too adorable for words …
I love those kids! I wish we could have gone with you. I never noticed the hairspray rock look that those Tamarins have…… That was very cute. Good job. Now I have to go watch Veronica Mars. Smell ya later.
Hi! Hello! Is your blog gonna let me comment today?
Your kids are SO adorable. Did you KNOooowww that my daughters also occasionally talk in English accents? Because it’s fun, yo? Our favorite phrases (oh, yeah, umm…I kinda like to do it, too) are “in your pocket” and “that was apOOOOling” (“that was appalling”, a la Simon Cowell).
I’m so glad I actually got to see this one on the same day you posted it! (I don’t have Quicktime at work, and I usually forget to do it when I’m home.) I watched this one AND the last two. You are so freakin’ adorable.
P.S. I am hereby officially requesting a “how to” podcast. I wanna know how you do your daughters’ hair like that. It’s SO cute. And, while you’re at it, you may as well show us how you do that cute ‘do you sport, too.
Hugs!
Did you know that your youngest raises her eyebrows in the same manner that you do? Very cute! I loved that song…what was it??? You all rocked the zoo-it was great!
Wow….you are tooooo freakin’ talented for words. That was better than a movie. Cuz’ I know the actors/actresses in it! I love yer kiddos and your kidcast was just, well, awesome!!!!!!!!!
So cute!!! Seeing your girls makes me feel like I’m in 5th grade again and we’re hanging upside down on the monkey bars and talking about how much we loved li’l Tom Groff.
LOVED THAT!!!!
This rocks. And that Alli loves the camera, doesn’t she? Adorable.
