Scene: Family of five, two adults, one rugged twelve-year old boy and two young girlie-girls. All sitting down, waiting for breakfast to be served.
Man to Rugged Boy: “Son, would you like to go to the sporting goods store and check out some pocketknives?”
Girlie Girl #1: “Ooh, I want a pocketknife!”
Girlie Girl #2: “Hey, can I have a knife too?!”
Rugged Boy (with slightly sheepish smile): “Um, yeah… do you think we could go to the craft store instead?”
Woman to all: “Wow.”
End Scene.

I love your kids!
Hey, nothing wrong with craft stores, and even girlie-girls need a good pocket knife.
I grew up in an all-girl family, but luckily, even though I was the girlie-girl one, Dad was able to recruit all of us in various aspects of “manly” activities…
I hope my son is good in crafts, so I’m finding this a good thing!
Does he need fabric shears or something?
“Rugged Boy”….LOL.
