I’m right… once in a blue moon.

Happiness is spending the better part of an evening arguing with TGIM about whether 2010 is REALLY the start of a new decade, or if it begins NEXT year.
I maintain that 2010 does indeed usher in the start of a new decade and that TGIM and Wikipedia can suck it.
(Hey. We don’t have cable, so we have to make our own fun.)

It does usher in a new decade because we count decades by the tens place. However when it comes to centuries we count them in continual order. like the 1500’s, 1600’s etc. Centuries also start in year 1.
Ask TGYM this what year did the 60s end?1969. Right because then it became the 70s. But the 21st century did not start until 2001.
Preach it, William! And DUDE, I’ve tried! The man is being willfully obtuse, I tell you! Honestly. But therein lies the fun, so there you go.
